On August 2nd we hosted an in-person Compost Cafe in Camden County NJ with over 25 compost enthusiasts.
Prior to that we hosted a virtual Compost Café on May 8th at 10am EDT to celebrate International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW)!
ICAW is the largest and most comprehensive education initiative in the compost industry. The goal is to work together to raise public awareness on why we all should be composting our organics and using compost. Throughout the week of ICAW, community, school, government, and business events are held to encourage and celebrate composting - all types of composting – from backyard to large-scale.
This year, ICAW partnered with the International Compost Alliance (ICA) to select the theme: For Healthier Soil, Healthier Food…Compost!
Stay tuned for future cafes as we share stories from New Jersey counties, communities & businesses on diverting food waste, educating about the benefits of sustainable organics management!
If you're interested in joining future Cafes please contact us to get on our emailing list
